The service
Inkfix is run by Pious Bansal ("I", "me"). These terms cover the free preview and the paid fix for your Shopify store ("your store").
The free preview
- I check up to five public pages of your store with automated testing and email you the results, a before and after, and your price.
- I don't need any access to your store for the preview, and nothing on your store is changed.
- The preview is free and doesn't commit you to anything.
What the paid fix includes
- A full report listing the problems automated testing found on the pages checked, what I changed and the test result for each change.
- Colour fixes for hard-to-read text and buttons, and names for links that screen readers can't name, where the report says a fix is possible.
- Installing those fixes on a duplicate, unpublished copy of your theme.
- A test of that copy before you publish it, and a test of your live store after you publish it.
How the work is done
- You give me collaborator access to your Shopify admin. I only work on the duplicate copy of your theme, never on your live theme.
- The fixes are one CSS file and a few link labels added to that copy. I don't install apps or add scripts.
- Your accent colours change only if you have said in writing (an email is fine) that a slightly deeper shade is acceptable. If you don't answer, they stay exactly as they are.
- You decide whether to publish. Nothing goes live until you publish the copy yourself. Keep your original theme in your theme library so you can switch back at any time.
- When the after-publish test is done, I tell you, and you remove my collaborator access. I won't make any changes after that.
Permission to load your pages
By asking for a preview or a fix, you allow me to load the public pages of your store and, during the paid fix, your cart page and the preview link of your theme copy, for testing only.
What Inkfix doesn't do
- Automated testing finds some accessibility problems, not all. Inkfix is not a full accessibility audit, and I make no claim about whether your store meets any law or standard.
- Numbers in the preview and report describe the pages checked, on the day they were checked. Stores change over time; new products, new theme versions or app updates can bring back problems or affect the fixes.
- Fixes cover the pages checked and the same parts of your theme used on other pages. I don't test every page of your store.
Price and payment
- The price is in your preview: $299 if the pages checked have up to 150 hard-to-read spots, $599 if they have more. It's a one-time payment with no subscription.
- You pay after you have seen the preview and agreed to go ahead, and before I start the install. Payment methods are listed in my email.
Your responsibilities
- Keep a copy of your original theme (Shopify keeps it in your theme library when you duplicate it).
- Look over the theme copy before you publish it, and tell me if anything looks wrong.
- Remove my access when the work is done.
Liability
I do the work carefully and test it, but I can't be responsible for losses that come from running your store, from changes you or others make later, or from problems automated testing didn't find. If something I changed causes a problem, tell me and I'll fix it or remove the change. My total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid me.
Refunds
- Before I start the install: you can cancel for a full refund.
- If the tested result falls short: if the test of your theme copy shows the fixes clear fewer problems than your preview said they would, you can choose a full refund instead of publishing, and delete the theme copy.
- If I can't complete the work (for example, your theme blocks the changes), you get a full refund.
- After you publish and the after-publish test is done, the work is complete and is not refundable. If a fix I made stops working within 30 days because of something I did, I'll correct it free of charge.
- To ask for a refund, email pious@inkfix.app. Refunds go back by the method you paid with, within 10 working days. Payment-provider fees may not be returned to me, but you get back the full amount you paid.
Privacy
- This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking.
- What I collect: your name, email address, store address, your colour answers, and the results of testing your public pages. During a paid fix, I also see what collaborator access shows me in your Shopify admin.
- What I don't do: I don't access customer or order data for the work, and I don't sell or share your information with anyone, except the services needed to run Inkfix: email (Zoho Mail) and payments (such as PayPal or Skydo).
- How long I keep it: test results and reports for up to 2 years, so I can answer questions about the work. Email me and I'll delete your information sooner, except what I must keep for tax and accounting records.
- Before/after images: I only show your store's name, screenshots or results publicly with your written permission.
Our page checker
"InkfixAudit" is the checker that loads pages for testing. It only loads public pages, at most five per store per check, no more than one page per second. It respects robots.txt, never logs in and never fills in or submits a form. To have your site excluded, email pious@inkfix.app.
